Ahh I missed it unfortunately. One more option that is closer to what I was hoping to spend:

Hi @kais1121
Now you are bouncing around the different Connie references. (Which I said previously are quite numerous)
From late 60s / early 70s with the previous watches, to late 50s / early 60s with this one.
Except this one has a ‘unknown reference’ dial, in a Connie case, upon which someone has painted ‘Constellation’. (It’s a put together watch)

the previous solid gold Connie you posted is a bit of a specialist item - by that I mean it’s not part of the run of the mill collectible Connies. It may be one day but not at the moment.
It’s also quite polished, that and it’s niche appeal is why it’s only just shy of $1700 and not $3000.

Not a Connie, not two tone, but the dial on this Geneve is in good condition and it is from a decent online vintage watch seller from Canada. A classic 500 series movement. Not a bargain but serviced, and what you see is what you get. The gold dial is love it or hate it.

If your partner is not a collector, buy what you like and try for a guarantee or proof of service.

We are a collector's forum and value originality much more than casual wearer's might.

In fact, the absolute best examples we look for would be locked away and seldom worn!

kais, we need to get to know you better and sincerely hope you have a decent time frame.

Cheers and welcome!
