Inherited watches - not sure what to do with them?

I hope that when I go and my wife inherits my watches, she doesn’t sell them for what she thinks they’re worth.

I've already warned my kids: those watches and clocks you're not interested in... make sure you get the right price for them when I croak.... there's a pile of money there for you...

Now it's up to them... hell, I'll be worm food or smoke up a chimeny by then so I won't care a bit.

I guess it depends on what the watches are. A collection of fairly generic watches, or some Timexes, etc. would be one thing. On the other hand if the OP’s grandfather had a discerning taste for timepieces and owned, say, a 57 Speedmaster, an early Rolex, a Patek, or suchlike, then the tax office might be interested at the prices these would fetch. Let’s see what the watches are 😀

ebay is probably best. there is also a page on Reddit called watchexchange, but you need to be active on reddit and know about you watch in order to sell it.
