Nothing about the dial is original. You can certainly have the dial refinished again, but the results are often not particularly good. Alternatively, you can just have the lume replaced if the radium concerns you.
This one might be a case for factory-sponsored refinish. At least their lettering is straight. 馃榿

Looks like it鈥檚 a 1958 model after all. I suspect the hand inscriptions on the back are maintenance dates. If so it has been maintained many times over the years. The pictures didn鈥檛 capture all of them, but a few are visible.

Of course it has! Darn near every watch back then got serviced perhaps twice a year.

Radium ...... Ok. 2 more measurements : check radiation case back. And: strap the watch to your arm, let your arm hang down as normal and measure Radiation at shoulder height.
