Inherited from my father (Speedy Moon).

Recently and sadly, I inherited a Speedmaster Professional from my father. It's a watch I was going to buy sometime this year, actually, and had always talked about how I'd love it on a brown leather strap.
Since he passed, it turns out, he wanted to pass it to me earlier in his situation, to see me wear it with the strap, etc., but never got the chance as everything happened in a whirlwind.
Anyway, I'm new to watch collection and already see it's a dangerous "bug"...
I've gone with DeLugs (Whiskey Waxy Slim Strap) with a black spring deployment Catch. This strap because my dad's drink on the odd occasion he did drink was a nice whiskey, you see.
Also, I have "Fox" engraved colourless and small on the buckle (I called him the Silver Fox and my son calls him Granda Fox)... "Dad embossed on the inside of the strap (no colour) then on the underside of the Clasp I have engraved Sol (my son's name) as I'll be passing it on to him eventually.

I've never been "into watches" although I've always adored the "moon watch".

By goodness it's got me looking, such an expansive (and expensive) interest, my intentions are already running away well beyond what my wife would allow, ha.

The engraved clasp is a nice touch. I hope it brings back good memories far into the future.
