·Dear OF members
I must confess that when I “applied” to be a member of this forum the goal was already to create this thread.
Allow me to introduce one of my watches... a well known Tissot world timer navigator. I own it since January 2019 (I can later disclose price if some of you find it useful but it wasn’t cheap). I bought it without much reflection to a trustworthy dealer simply because it was “love at first sight”. The thing is there isn’t too much information available on this watch. I can’t even date it correctly but I was hoping some of you could shed some light on this subject.
I known what some of you will ask... “what did your research tell you?” Well... if you ask Tissot or some auction house expert’s they will tell you it is a 50’s watch. I known the movement it is indeed a 50’s bumper movement but I guess it was a later edition that Tissot made with their last 100 movements remaining (it is a numbered edition of 100 pieces). I assume the lumen is tritium but the dial doesn’t show T anywhere on it... And this is pretty much what I know from it...
So I was looking forward someone could enlighten me regarding this subject.
Thank you all in advance
