Probably because it seems to be a franken watch?

It was my first impression as well but screwback fits in nicely, so the case and bezel are Tissot? Ref 46672-7x shows no results online. It would be great if you could share how you reached that conclusion.

    Thanks

I have seen many, many vintage Tissot Seastar's , but never in this configuration. Better pic's would help, but case and dial look like late 60ties dresser type seastar's, bezel is definitely not Tissot's. Dial doesnt seem to fit well and what happened to the date window?

Took some better pictures for your assessment,
I understand the watch looks put together but still it has a reference of which there is no info about and that stardust dial with applied raised outer ring is also quite unusual.

Caseback fits perfectly in the case, dial does seem smaller.

    Thanks for the better pic's.
However I still see an ill-fitting dial (incl date window..) Stardust is 'patina' (maybe caused by moist in the past) and ref nr seems to be related to some specific models PR516GL's.

I appreciate your comments. I concur with the ill fitting dial, and the possibility of the caseback being from a PR516, finding another watch with the same reference number would be conclusive

However, and FWIW, I must insist on the stardust part. Im gonna go out on a limb and say mold cant look like sparkly perfectly square metal flakes. FD453EEE-82D8-4E67-996B-7F654D77B803.jpeg FAF14DF2-3CBF-4A54-96CF-8FDF5AA68532.jpeg 6139D9BE-0F55-4DA5-864E-3CD39F303DB5.png

    Hi Guys

Either franken or at lest missing a inner bezel with 24 hour markers.... to correspond to the world time bezel... Or is the hour hand geared to one complete revolution around the dial in 24 hours..? or is it a typical 2 revolutions around the dial in 24 hours like a typical 12 hour display watch?

Here is a 42 mm Super compressor w world time bezel ... so you see what I mean....

At first glance.... you watch is a put together... dial is just aged... paint flaking off... etc...

But if you answer the questions about the movement might shed more light.

is it a typical 35 mm case ?? what is the outside diameter of the bezel?

    good hunting
