As to the strap. Depends on the look you want.
Dress - semi matte black leather with black stitching. Semi matte gator or croc or lizard is a nice look
Casual - browns or tans, but would stick with matching stitching

·Welcome to the forum. A new strap is a must, that thing is about to break and send the watch flying and leaving you thinking of brand new crystal and a band.
I agree with the color suggestions above, a tan with matching stitching would look great for everyday use.
