Info Needed on Longines Conquest

I picked up this Longines Conquest Automatic today at a garage sale for $15. As soon as i moved it around a bit, it started working and appears to keep good time. I'll get it to my watch guy for a cleaning, servicing and new crystal. After he opens it, I'll get the model and other numbers from inside the watch. But, at first glance can anyone tell me more about this vintage watch? I'm hoping its a keeper! Thanks in advance, Major

Can't beat that one for $15.00, unfortunately it looks like it's missing it's gold bezel.

15$ is a steal! Well done.

As @X350 XJR said, missing the bezel but the dial looks in quite a nice condition based on the picture.

You might want to hunt for a beaten dial one with a nice case and swap it.

These 1950s Conquests are fantastic watches, and that is a gold-capped version with a nice dial and some enamel loss on the back. Unfortunately, the bezel will be very hard to find, but you could potentially have one fabricated.

I took it to my watch guy. The numbers inside the case are 9002 3 112. He says the movement is good, just needs cleaning and a new crystal. So I wonder if we can tell what year it is from the numbers? Major

I think I recall @Canuck saying something once about the possibility of having a bezel made for a case, but I could be making that up in my head.

If that has a solid gold bezel, it is pretty well priced.

Great find! Shame that the gold cap bezel is missing. Scrap gold recyclers used to melt whole gold cases, then recase the movement and dial into generic cases. I wonder if this one also lost this bezel for the same reason?

For sale in Caracas, though. Last time I was there, customs 'confiscated' my Tudor and my camera. Wouldn't be too sure it safely gets out of the country.
