One of our trips to France and visiting the tourist hot spot of Saint Emillion and to be honest not high on my list of favourites but as always my boys were with us and this image always always lifts my spirits and reminds me of happy times that will come again
This is a photo I took in Assisi, Italy, in 2012, during a two week guided tour conducted by the National Association of Watch & Clock Collectors. We had checked into our hotel and yarded our luggage up to our room. The curtains and shutters were closed, and the room was dark as Hades. First opportunity I had to open the curtains and shutters, and this was the view looking west. I was gobsmacked!
I still have two cast iron fireplaces salvaged from the house my parents lived in just before I was born. I'd hoped to install one in my home but the floorplan of this old house just isn't suited for one without extensive renovations.
Early morning on Mt Buffalo, Victoria. If you look closely at the top of the cliff you can see the sloping ramp installed for hang gliders to launch themselves. What can I say?
Remember it well way back in 2008 and my old pal and I soaked to the skin having walked up from Keswick, at least I had on the full Paramo kit
I haven't had Grotto's in a couple of years ... definite comfort food! I assume you're from Delaware?
