Not sure who the photographer was, but this photo always makes me smile. The sort of parent you would always look up to :0)

UK politics and I doubt it travels but it brought a smile to yours truly 😀

Apologies to any of a gentle disposition if any language offends 😉

Posted earlier today on another thread but I find myself smiling whenever I look at it 😀

You have got a real life Snoopy there. You know, he was a beagle.

So you need to see a castle to test your eyes. 🤦
The more this guy talks the stupider he looks.

Hope they keep the pressure on him....

Some father daughter bonding last November on a short break to Budapest.
Decided to skip the hotel and head out for breakfast which was fantastic and it turned out I was being treated 😀

Happy times 🥰

First time I heard of the word "Barista" I thought it meant a female attorney.

She is rather feisty, sporty young Italian lady- who likes to practice her kick boxing in the early hours before us bleary eyed commuters rock up - not a lady to be trifled with... but serves a fine (ish) Americano and a rather tasty citrus ring.

She sounds worthy of fascination

I just read through this entire thread ... can't believe I hadn't seen it before, but there you are ... the distractions of the moment.

Here are a few photos to share that I hope contribute to the spirit.

First, a pic (already posted in another thread) of a sunset about a mile from my birth home. This was the summer of 2016, Penobscot, Maine, on a family trip home:

Second, a pic of our recently departed cat, Melman, who succumbed to feline diabetes in April. He loved laying in front of our fireplace on chilly winter nights:

Third, a photo from last November of a footbridge on the campus of the school where I teach. I was walking to work and I took this early in the morning:

Finally (for now), a picture sent to me by my son of himself and some of his buddies while training in the field last month at Fort Campbell. As he texted to me with the photo, "The Army goes rolling along, virus or no virus!"

Kind of a summary of life, brother, where you came from, who you are and what you have contributed.
Well done.

Right on the first guess!

I haven't met his buddies. It does indeed look like a Polish name - I'll have to ask him. In the meantime, he sent me a photo of his impromptu light supper this evening ...
