I can't remember any period of time when a sweater vest was cool. Only time you'd see these was in an Andy Hardy film.
The Baltic Sea on a fresh, sunny morning at around 19 knots. The last cruise ship holiday this little brown duck will be taking for the foreseeable future.
One should endeavor to treat maters of gravity with a degree of levity. So while contemplating which type of watch is best for pulling the birds…..
Now that is real bird watching ……. I have a guard cat so they cant get their thieving beaks on mine :0)
Who doesn't like a good bird picture , anyway I overheard this conversation whilst out on my daily walk. Mr Billy Gruff "Oi Swanny keep away from our land or I will ruffle your feathers , last time you were on my land you were swanning around like royalty " ,Mrs Swan " Really I don't know what's got your goat, I was only acting like a big Kid , I know I know I think lockdown is getting to me , but I've been on the nest all day " .
A Red Arrow giving me a thumbs up after I was lucky enough to watch a training display at RAF Scampton a few years back (617 Dambuster station). People went through a lot worse than anything 2020 has thrown at us on that famous raid.
A shot of the earth and moon (LHS) through Saturn's rings by the Cassini probe - and a picture from my walk today. I am fascinated by space exploration, but I often reflect that even the more average bits of our little blue dot are pretty amazing :0)
We had intended to be exploring the south of France at this moment in time but obviously that is on hold for some time Our motorhome is parked by the house so this evening we decided to spend a little quality time on board Disaster the house blocks out the satellite tv signal but wifi reaches us Rather than use the onboard facilities popped in to the house to use the little boys room only to find this message left from one of my daughters Lots of smiles and spirits through the roof
Beautiful, looks like a Turner painting. roofs of Paris on a beautiful spring night (no filter whatsoever).
These are from the Great Sand Sea in Egypt's western desert, south of Siwa Oasis about 50kms away from the Libyan border. We were in dune buggies - some dunes were 600 feet high, but we left them alone (too steep). A fantastic place which I revisited today while converting old film images from 2000 into digital. The results are terrible quality, but I hope they lift your spirits as they did for me.
