Prices in NL and Europe are higher then US for Rolex. But when buying from outside of the EU one has to allow for duties that 'll bring up the price considerably.
Check out the website of Precision Watches in Rijnsburg. They have a nice example with full set. A bit over your budget though.
Juwelier Burger Maastricht has one reasonable looking. No box or papers but in your price range.

Thanks. I've looked at those from burger but they looked polished as well. What does the forum think? It's for EUR 5375 without box and papers.

Putting the patina aside on the 5513 with WG markers, I would at least try to find one with a doom crystal, it will make the watch looked completely in the good way.

Hands look to match. Indeed it has been polished.
Pics again are not the best and may make the edges look softer then they in reality are. Just guessing now.
If it is not to far from where you live you could go for a drive. Holding it in the hand is always a better option then looking at pics.

Looks bad in pics, the non crown side looks more like ( rather than /, seems hella expensive considering lack of b&p and hardly great condition.

I think by now you can probably spot and anticipate anything we can say. It does look better but still looks a little soft on the bezels but bare in mind that on non high def pics of the light is strong the steel reflections tend to wash out detail. For example you can still see the knock on the bezel on a pic but it’s not defined.

Also some sellers actually blur their pictures to create an even surface and disguise minor scratches. This may seem counter productive to the collector base buyers but many times buyers still want a watch without scratches.

So. My advice, ask everybody for a plain couple of pictures with normal light and unedited. Then you may be in a better place to decide.

This “studio” white background flat light pics are not only deceiving but many times are meant to be flat and deceiving.... or if you prefer the word... flattering

The last post is easier to assess but still if you magnify the bezels the pics are not focused or sharp enough.

Price is much better

Agree with Exiztence and the comments above. Why not push for a mid-80s 5513? You'll probably get your vintage fix with some patina and a higher ROI considering the reference (14060 are too common IMO to have attractive value appreciation). Buying cheaper in the short-term, doesn't necessarily make sense in the long-term (from a value-appreciation standpoint). Cheers lad and enjoy the hunt!

Look at some threads from two years ago to see what people were saying about 5513s. 😀

[I agree with the main point you are making about a 1980s 5513 vs. a 14060.]

Ha fair point, still think that production numbers divided by years in production is much lower for the 5513 vs. the 14060. Cheers mate.

Ok guys, this time I had one in my hands. It looked quite good to me. Edges looked quite sharp. But before I pull the trigger... what do you think? It's a 14060 1999 swiss only dial. In the store it was a bit dark so hope the pictures are ok...
