If you would have only ONE Omega-watch—what would it be?

Btw am surprised nobody mentioned the Tourbillon out of 13 pages of opinions… 😝

as for me it would be granddad’s watch (recently restored at omega):

I own a few Omega watches that are more desirable from a collectability point of view, but if compelled to own just one it'd be this one: a plain 'ol Hesalite Speedmaster, made in the 21st century.

There is some irony here, because when I first became "wristwatch aware" I had no taste for the Speedmaster at all and found the level interest in it among watch aficionados to be inexplicable and more than a bit silly.
I also like this idea of a plain 3861 relumed with good ol’ tritium! 😗

Birth year speedy for me. Or plain old modern one.

Prob the current 321 in SS if I was to have only one. I have a silver Snoopy now but would love to add the 321, & I prefer a 321 over the silver Snoopy. But I purchased mine at a AD so it is staying. When funds allow next year hope to add the 321.

Interested in why you would choose 321 over Snoopy?

I am surprised how often the Planet Ocean is popping up in here. Having recently acquiring a 2201.50 myself, maybe I was on to something...

Still I would not want to give up either of my vintage Connie's.

Great thread with lots of interesting examples.

If I could only keep one:

Very tough choice, as I have nearly a dozen Omegas and I'm having a hard time letting go of any of them buy given the question... If we're talking for daily contemporary living, sitting at my desk, being in meetings, etc., I'd probably choose my AT Worldtimer for its versatility, looks and practicality.

If we're talking only one to stick with you through the end of days, it would have to be my PO 8900. Great looks, tough as nails, could follow me to as far down the depths of the sea I could ever possibly reach and can probably survive an electromagnetic war. Great back hand weapon too, all while wearing very comfortably.

If we're talking which one watch in the whole world you must have, I haven't found it yet. It would be something like an SMP with the dial of the latest PO, minus the He valve. It would also work in the case of a 300 Heritage. Then I'd have to have it in both blue and black.

I've yet to own a Speedmaster, as I'm a soul of the sea, but I'm thinking about it. Maybe it'll help me see what all the allure is about.

Wow, lucky to have gotten it at 16 and also that it has been with you for all this time. 👍

Something water resistant that can take a beating and is easy for any watchmaker to service.

Modern 321 Speedmaster if I’m dreaming. Current 3861 Hesalite Speedmaster would keep me happy though.

Hard decision…..my 321 wears so nicely……but my 75th planet ocean is built like a tank and I love the dial.
