A difficult choice, I love my 2010 Seamaster Professional, that black wavy dial is just gorgeous, the watch keeps great time and looks stunning. However, my 2019 Speedmaster Professional is just as nice, a clear no nonsense dial, great fit and comfortable on the wrist all day long.

Push me into a corner and I'll hand over the Speedy and leave with the Seamaster, why? Simply because it was the first luxury watch I bought with my own money but not my first luxury watch, I do have a 18k gold Longines dress watch but that was a long service award and is rarely worn today.

So Seamaster over Speedmaster, ask me tomorrow and I might switch that round. 😀

2254 for me, easy choice.
Same reason for me. I bought mine new in 2008 along with a matching ladies black SMP for my wife with a small inheritance I received from my grandmother.

I think it could be my Speedymoon 345.0809, or maybe a Holy Grail which I don't have 😁

I just went through this whole thread, and wondered if there were any surprises that jumped out at anyone. No surprise: the appreciation of the classic Speedmaster. What I didn’t expect: how many people treasured the Trilogy Railmaster. It got me looking at it in a whole new light. Elegant simplicity!

The Speedy moonphase is also a beauty. When I bought my 2254, I had settled on Omega after looking at the Rolex date just. I had 3 models short listed - moonphase Speedy, SMP 2254 and the PO. I chose the 2254 and I'm happy with my choice.

Since I just bought my first Omega I will vote for the SMP 300M. But, I do think that the Aqua Terra is the perfect one watch.

Well i'll finally answer the question, it would have to be this cal.552 received new for my sixteenth birthday way back in 1966 so that has given my age away 🤦
Apologies to those that have heard this story so many times.

If it had to be one of the Omega watches, it would be the PO. It can go anyway and handle almost anything.

It would have to be a Speedmaster Pro. I'll settle for my Sapphire Sandwich, but if we're dreaming, I suppose my "only one" would be an Apollo-Soyuz.

I think so...yes, if I would have only one Omega watch, it would be my fairly recently acquired [ from @Darlinboy ] 105.003-64.

It checked quite a few boxes:

1. Birth year [1964] Speedy for me.
2. First vintage Speedy for me.
3. First DON Speedy for me.
4. First 321 Speedy for me.
5. First straight lug Speedy for me.
6. Came with a correct [and possibly original to the watch] Omega 7912 bracelet with correct [and possibly original to the watch] Omega #6 end links.
7. Came as a partial kit [pictured below] with correct [and possibly original to the watch] Omega inner box/Omega warranty booklet/Omega pad...I really dig that stuff.
8. Came with an Omega Extract of the Archives.
9. Known recent service history from a reputable watchmaker.
10. Came with an additional Thomas Preik display back.

These last three checked boxes are very important for me:

11. Condition, condition, condition!
12. Very historic and very important NASA background...Rest In Peace Lieutenant Colonel Edward H. White II USAF.
13. Came from a well known and well respected member of the OF community [ @Darlinboy ]...AND we completed the deal at Hooters!

Hooters deals are always the best!
