·If it's keeping good time at the moment, just enjoy it. Don't invest in the dial and don't be tempted to have it serviced when the timekeeping goes south.

·I don’t know if this is a crazy idea, but if the text bothers you, since the majority of the dial is applied, you could just remove the Automatic and Seamaster Deville ?

·Just sell it and buy one with an original dial. You’re going to spend significant time and money trying to improve it and likely still end up with a very average redial.

·Remember I’m definitely a novice, if attempted once movement is removed. What would you use to remove the script. I’d definitely remove automatic the lower portion doesn’t bother me. The lousy looking automatic is disturbing, especially now that I know the difference.
