I have looked for years to see if anyone knows about my watch. Any info? I do believe the guilloche dial is original. Thx.

It's 100% repainted, don't know about the base dial originality or watch originality, but I suspect apart from the dial's print, watch will likely be original

My father got the watch when his dad died in 1970. I know my dad never did anything to it. My grandfather was a wealthy doctor in NYC. I believe the dial is original but perhaps a custom Omega order? All input appreciated.

Since this is a 50’s-60’s watch your grandfather probably got it serviced, which I heard at the time could mean a dial job too

There is no way the dial print is original. Please zoom in on your photo and you can see the quality of the font is very poor.

The textured dial on the other hand is very nice and it’s very common to see repainted dials. As an heirloom it needn’t stop you enjoying it.

Ok have a professional watch maker not a battery changer ipen the back.

the model number will be on the inside of the caseback. The serial number on the movement and some basic google work will tell you the approx age.

I don’t think it’s a redial.

I know it’s a redial.

A nice unusual dial, but it definitely has been repainted/inked.

If you get the back removed and get pix of the inside of the caseback and of the movement then all questions will be answered.

If the 13 million number is the serial number, then it dates about 1952. I am having trouble finding anything else so far.

The oscillating weight indicates that it is a chronometre.

FIFY.

Looks to be a caliber 354 from early 1950s. The swan neck regulator also points to it being a chronometer caliber.
It's obviously been serviced in the past, the discolouration of the finish on the plates/bridges/oscillating weight and the watchmakers marks in the caseback show this.
The Swiss 18ct case was made for Omega by Manufacture Favre & Perret SA of La Chaux-de-Fonds.
