Hello! Merry Christmas to you! I am looking to buy this vintage watch. Its a hand-winding cal 269 (ref 121.001-63). The case back has 'PLAQUE OR', which I believe is an indication that its a gold plated case.

Can you please confirm if its a genuine Omega watch? It would be great if you can give me a ball park figure in terms of its value. TIA!

Dial, case and movement have lived a hard life.

If it was $100usd I’d say buy

if it was $1000usd I’d say not

Tell us your thought process for admiring this particular watch.

Authentic with a lot of issues. Not worth buying IMO. If it's a beloved heirloom, my apologies, but to be fair you didn't give much context.

Thanks for the responses. I am very new to vintage watches and I am looking for a vintage omega watch with sub seconds under $300. There are not many options available. So I tried to get feedback on the watches available, though they are not in pristine condition.

You might find something decent if you get off the internet and start trawling pawn shops, thrift stores and estate sales. But on the internet, you need to spend more to get a decent Omega IMO. I would be looking at other brands where you can find something nice.
