I wanted to sarcasm the threads but was too late to the party :-( By the time I opened them up, they were 6+ pages in. And I don't care enough about aliens, orange chrono hands, and crashing websites to read it all.

Ouch! Rough crowd. You could always counter with, "Jack Swigert's handbag didn't save the lives of the Apollo XIII astronauts."

On second thought, disengaging seems like the more prudent course of action.
