ID for this 1940s Omega Movement

Would any of you kind knowledgable folk have any info on this movement? The Serial number dates it to 1943 I believe. Specifically, calibre, dates in production, models it was used in, etc... Thank you in advance for any information. ACD

Looks like a cal 17.8.

You should try google images for that particular cal. and start there. Omegas of this era had reference numbers, but they weren't really used by the public and model names weren't a thing at that time.

Thank you. I did find it in google images. Listed as R17.8. Took some hunting. I did not realize that there were no model names in use in the 40s. Thats good info. Thanks again.
