I think I spent to much time with that other watch company.

If you need a watch to tell you what month it is you might need to see your doctor, don't leave it too long.

That's a beauty.

I have owned several Crowns, but don't anymore and don't plan on getting another. IMO, the milgauss and skydweller are ugly AF. I wouldn't wear one if someone gave it to me. R does have some nice designs, but the games the ADs play, using gray dealers to create this artificial shortage, have turned me completely off the brand.

That's a candidate for the ugliest Omega ever thread.
Wow, that's low.

If someone asks for opinions on a watch, sure blast it all you want. But to tell someone that in his thread where he's proudly showing off his new watch is lame.

He was about to buy a Millgaus, which he liked (just liked the 'design' of the Omega (extra magnetic field resistance?) a little more)...

I hear you. But I figure piling on the R is more acceptable in this instance, esp since he decided against buying it.

I concur, hating on someone's new watch is déclassé. But the person making that comment probably doesn't have a vocabulary that includes words with more than once syllable, so this comment is probably a wasted effort.

Anywho...

Is it a "look at my beautiful new watch!" thread or "Rolex sucks" thread? If it's the latter, then I too am kind of over the hype and ridiculous prices that they are commanding these days. If it's the former, then yeah, that's a pretty watch, congrats! 😀

Hey everyone is entitled to a opinion.

Calling someone a troll for expressing it, is a tad harsh. We all have big boy pants on so a bit of flack never hurt anyone.
@dennisthemenace has been known not to sugar coat anything and I like that about a bloke.

Last thing we want is members with wrists like a twelve year old being told the 43.5mm PO looks good on them when they ask.

PS I don’t go much on the months on the dial but like the watch without it.

Totally agree - it’s so much classier to trash a person than a watch.

Looked at a different way, the annual calendar watch is rare in the sense that only about ten brands even produce the complication and most cost double the price or more than triple the price of the Omega. Omega offered the complication in a watch that also represents good value compared to the competition.

if "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" is an acceptable logic, then the opposite meaning probably is true too

having said that i personally think all the supercase models from the crown brand is ugly but there is good number of folks do not

most of the cellini line from that same brand i think is classy and lovely but most consider those are flops

"opinion" are intrinsically different from one another, but how it is presented matters to most, i presume

Rolex doesn't suck. I'm still proud to wear the pieces that are in my collection. This was intended to be a post indicating how impressed I am by this Omega watch. FWIW, look into annual calendars, see what they typically cost (You can start by looking at IWC, Patek, and yes, Rolex). From my vantage point, this watch is incredible.

What if we found out that Rolex and Omega were secretly made at the same factory? It would make the rivalry between them and their owners look pretty insignificant, huh?

Not really. But if made in the same factory by the same workers with the same tooling and equipment and the same parts from outside vendors the rivalry would look pretty insignificant. 😀

If you need a watch to tell you what month it is you might need to see your doctor, don't leave it too long.

The thing is though, without the month being displayed one can't configure the movement to trigger the date to change when it's intended to on the 30th or 31st.
The month display is primarily required to set the watch to do as it's intended.

But I do suspect you have been informed of this on another forum in the past😉
