I got an order from Crown and Buckle today, their Supreme NATO line is excellent.

I am a Blueshark man- love their straps- and I hate Nato’s (but seem to own dozens of them ::screwloose::
Have had luck with Gecko bracelets on newer watches- but they tend to be a bit chunky for the slimmer lugged vintage pieces.
Never tried the Uncle Seiko or Strapcode. I’m
Always looking for good bracelet options for the vintage pieces, but they are either too chunky or not made in 18/19 which is what most vintage take.

Hands down best NATO is mora now...the feel on wrist and hardware...it's just *exquisite*. Feel kind of silly how much I look at their weave and compare to others...it's amazing. FWIW, I *never* wear bracelets, just not my thing.

there is so much hit and miss with straps i don't even want to spend 10-15 on a nato or 50 on an expensive leather...and fity isn't even that much..lol

i generally spend $1-2 on them from the far east and it takes 30 days to get them. it's mostly the same chit you can get in a week from a us seller but have to pay 5-10 for.

i realize not all of them are created equal,..but i have to say i like the cheap thin ones on watches that i can get away with. i've had the thicker ones for heavier watches but it just takes way too long to break them in...and i have to say i hate the excess bulk of the safety strap and lack of a keeper.

i'm looking at getting a couple of these @ $4.27 each

yeah,...i'm the one who will put these on inexpensive and very expensive watches

i feels ya. i have some nice vintage tropics and others just sitting. i refuse to wear a tropic when i could sell it for almost a hundo,,,thing is i don't sell it............,lol

i've actually purchased watches just for the strap. there was time you could get a vintage diver with a vintage tropic for 50 bucks..you can still do it, but the 50 is now at least 100 and most of the time more..not to mention dodging the replica tropics which are everywhere

LOVE Eulit! By why oh why did they stop making their two piece natos in anything but Palma??? It’s just too thick for me, but Panama or Kristall were PERFECTION! Oh well, guess I’ll stick with one piece Eulits...

Kreisler Stelux is some nice option for vintage pieces - and a vintage bracelet as well. Here is mine in 19mm that I had on my Seiko 6139-6000 which came on an am Seiko bracelet. I replaced it finally for the correct, original H-Link bracelet.

And here is some interesting info about the company:

You don’t have any affiliation with the company do you? Peculiar they only offer 4 products.

I’m surprised you’re not all over cheapestnatostraps.com They’ve got a good selection but you do get what you pay for. You can feel the difference in strap quality when you try on the cheap one at Macy’s and then try on a leather strap at Cartier or Hermès. Personally I’ve bought the cheap ones before but now that I know what I want I’ll spend a little more and get something nicer that feels better and lasts longer

I know most look at straps as consumables but I have so many watches that I rotate regularly (and most have bracelets), that I don’t mind paying a little more for a quality strap. That said- my threshold for Nato’s is around $25 and leather around $100...I can’t roll with the dudes sporting $300 gator straps...that’s a whole watch to me...or a good chunk of one at least.

Hi, just to say, many moons ago I bought a strap EXACTLY as those in the eBay link, exact advert everything, but I think a different seller...

Anyhoo, don’t waste even one penny. It arrived and I could smell the chemicals from the plastic (it isn’t leather despite what was advertised) before I open the package. They smelled so bad that my colleagues on neighbouring desks complained about a burning plastic smell!

Possibly dangerous to wear on the skin... didn’t find out, went straight in the bin!

Well, I just placed an order for one. We'll see (in a month or so...) how well they're made.
