I really don’t like the word ‘Professional’...

Originally, the company was receiving complaints that amateurs, interns, and per-diem help were purchasing these watches, which was getting the professionals quite upset. They added the term as a result of that. At least that's what I heard from an older Omega employee, who happened to be heavily medicated at the time, but would tell great stories about the golden days at the company, for just a little sliver of pound cake.
