Hi,

Just received this beauty :

It's a 1916 silver wristwatch with the 'swing ring' case. I suppose it is a Cl 1801 (here in a 1917 catalog) :

The unusual enamel black dial is still nice :

Inside a 13lignes. On the following pictures, one can see the swing ring system, with the screw-in bezel and the hinged caliber holding :

The case is in silver :

The back is engraved, confirming the 1916 date :

Those two make a pair (the second one is a later 1925 with a 23.7 Inside) :

A better picture of its 23.7 younger sister :

Ive never been drawn to these old gals, but your new one with the inscription really shows of its long life. I will have to keep an eye out for one now, thanks for sharing.

Very cool to see. Doffs me hat to those who didn't make it home.

And there is the seconds hand on the older that I've on my (although tip broken off?) '50s Auto/Bumper wristy.
X2 for sharing TC ~ Inside Omega lettering with the drifting M and A looks like my pocket watch stamping.

Thoughts of Gallipoli Campaign brought to light and gramps Purple Heart comes to mind. X3 then 😀

One of my fascinations with the oldies is in imagining what they may have seen and in what tales they could tell.

Yann, another coup! Truly amazing, mon frère.

Very tasty Yann. 👍

Does it still have radium on the numbers/hands?

The 1916 still has its radium on the dial. Hands have been relumed.
