Not a TURLER.

Not a big fan of date complications but everyone should have a 504 in their collection.

Are the inserts on the indices in the original posting made of amber? Topaz? They are so sharply faceted that I want to think that they are a semi-precious gem.
UV light will likely show they are radium lume

[/QUOTE]With 18k cases, if the inserts are slightly wider than normal and flat on top and the dial golden in colour, this will also be an 18k dial and known as a ‘deluxe’ watch.
If the onyx insert has a ‘prismatic’ ridge along the top it is unlikely to be a deluxe watch with an 18k dial (even if it is gold in ...

Hallo friends, though I cannot show a Türler, I can add a ref 2943/54 in 18k and have questions:
  • The indices do not have any inserts, are they 18k?
  • Is the dial 18k or gold filled?
  • If the dial is 18k gold, is it a 'de Luxe' and if, is then the ref. 2954?

I've not come across a gold dial with baton indices that doesn't have the usual fat, flat, onyx inserts.
However, the dial does look to to have the tell-tale vertical brushing of a gold dial of the era and Omega did do arrowhead indices gold dials without inserts.
I don't think Omega did gold-filled dials for Constellations.
The only way to be sure is to look at the back of the dial which will be stamped 18k if it is solid gold.

If it is a gold dial, then yes, it would be a 2954.

All gold indices on Constellations were solid gold - it would make sense that on an 18k watch the indices would be 18k.

Thanks @Peemacgee!
Of course the dial back shows all, but I need a watchmaker to look. Too often I damaged hands or lost screws by trying.
So have a good time to you and all.
Konrad
PS: In case someone asks, why does he own such a watch with poor dial and polished edges? Yes I know, but I have the original box and papers. In real life not all dreams get true.
