not sure but should I be concerned with the rust spot on the front in the lower left panel thingy of this car I'm thinking of buying?

its what I do best.
Although Im serious...can you look at either of my images and give any sort of an opinion?
Evening assuming you were a master mechanic, could you evaluate that engine and answer my question based on one crappy web image?

Don't be so thin-skinned.

The pic you provide shows very little of the actual movement. Thus the 'engine' response above. Who the heck knows what is lurking under the bridges of that movement? Some of the most important parts are not visible in that photo.

it would likely be a mistake to not plan on getting an immediate service.

I don't like the look of that circuitry on the offside wing, looks like it may flare up anytime and the blue all tappet covers and water pump smells of a recon lump which is a big no-no on a vintage like that. Nice V8. 389 ?
