    Hey Folks,

I have a strong interest for this watch. Everything is orignal, expect the crown.

I know it will be almost impossible to find a remplacement dial

Would you wear it ? I love this reference but the decision is not easy.

Is it maybe possible to do a partial reprint of the dial ? I heard this was made on speedy and the result was great.

Let me know your thoughts :)

    Thanks

    Florent

I'm not conversant with UGs, but just on what I can see, two words come to mind.

    Money.

    Pit.

I hope Universali Brotherhood can provide more guidance.

    I wouldn't buy it.

Easier to find a better watch than a spare dial and correct crown, and, i suspect, will be financially better too

Thank for your helpful inputs. Seller’s asking is 2.7k€. Maybe a little to much indeed.

Damn ... these are not common and good examples are commanding top prices. This is too far gone. It's a parts donor.

And I suspect that you will not be happy with that dial once repainted.

Had a chance to purchase this exact same watch as well a few days ago, dial is a write-off for me.

you can buy this if you feel lucky enough to get a new dial in the market, but quit redone dial idea,it hurts.

I'm curious what life this watch lived that half of the dial ink is gone, half is normally worn... odd, no?

The hands, movement, case and pushers will be of interest to some one. It will not be rebuilt.

If you mean the guy who "restored" a speed master with digitally printed decals the results were amazingly good and I assume the cost was around zero. This is a reverse situation (black on white) but I suspect that if you had the patience and skill that other guy did, people would be shocked at how good it could look.
If you could derive pleasure from having a total "beater" I say go for it. I don't personally have the patience and I get a bit concerned about what happens to the watch down the road.
