............. Then everyone will be happy .......

If there is one thing I've learned in life, that's........Everyone is never, ever, happy.

So in the words of Chief Dan George, "Endeavor to Persevere"

On a cheering note, this project continues, improvements are ongoing, continue with suggestions 👍

I ran a BBS for about 6 or 7 years, pre-internet. For the last few years I used Waffle. This might solve all your problems. The source is still available.

Perhaps some soothing unguent in the form of change management cliches might help.

Please apply liberally for best results.

Keep in mind this is a transition to what will eventually be the best forum software in the planet (and I'm not one for hyperbole!). Perhaps this latest change should be viewed as a way to have the forum members actively participate in shaping this upcoming software to be even better.

If you hit the alerts page, does it reset?

I meant with the latest post info only displaying in that compact form. mind sending a shot of the browser window when it's like that? Can PM if you prefer, thanks 😀

I've waited a few days to say anything about the changes, since I believe you need to let things soak in a bit... where I come down on the new look and feel is.... I LOVE the changes, it took a day or two to get comfortable again, and the tweaks being made are all good. Great job to those involved in the upgrades.

Omega Forums BBS. This is the most hilarious thing I've seen in years. And I hate to say but I LOVE IT.

In fact the more I play with it, the more I believe that in the day, this would have been the best BBS software out there. Probably wouldn't have run that great on a 286 though. (Stab yourself with a fork if you don't know what a 286 is.) (Or is it just me who sees it? heh.)

Remember those days? The 286 was the baddest chip around for about 3 years (which is equivalent to an entire dinosaur period in computer years!)

My boss and I were both buying home computers a number of years ago...I got the 386, and he got the 286 saying that he would "never need anything more than a 286"! LOL! I never let him forget that...I think it had a 40 MB hard drive!

Also, talk of 286 and 386 is not dating that far back...now if you are talking Commodore PET with a cassette tape storage drive, or punch cards with Fortran on the mainframe - that was my very first program back in the day....this is when disk drives looked like a big food dehydrator...

And yes I remember thinking "What the hell is this windows thing people keep talking about that is coming soon....what do windows have to do with computers?"

Think of things as rough diamond that will get polished over time. New things are never easy but as long as there is a long future then god speed.
