The one that doesn’t have that ugly useless HE valve at 10 o’clock 😗

Both beautiful pieces, but my heart always points to the Speedy

Seamaster's bracelet and hands are a no-go for me.
It’s amazing how everyone has such differing views. I really love both of those elements on the Seamaster.

I have those same watches, both black, it's close but I'd give it to the Speedy. 51/49.

Seamaster feels like it is higher quality and more substantial. Speedmaster makes me want to wear a velour track suit, sunglasses, and chill.

Speedmaster. Definately. Seamaster aesthetically for me should be the previous one. and in blue! 😀

Yep based on versatility I think the Seamaster wins this one but of course it depends on your own situation and the watches you own. Everyone needs at least one Speedmaster!!

I am so satisfied with these 2 that I don’t know which one I would pick. What would be your choice?

i will go for the seamaster first. Automatic winding. High dial legibility and more lume. More reassuring water resistance. Good luck with your choice.

I truly love them both and cannot choose just one. I can't imagine letting any of them go.

Apologies in advance to owners of the current version of the Seamaster Professional. It’s a great watch, but it’s the prior 2012-2017 generation that was the pinnacle of the design evolution of this model. What a looker, bulletproof 2500d caliber, and it was a serious bargain at its price point even before discounting.

A very nice version too, but I just couldn’t live with the date at 3 unfortunately.

If it is unlikely that you never buy a second watch and it's a one and done, then ask yourself which function you may enjoy more often, a chronograph function, or a rotating bezel dive watch. Both will be comfortable to wear. Both look great on straps or NATOS. Both have great lume, but the diver should be highly legible and thus more lume. One has much more water resistance than the other. Currently I have my 1861 hesalite, on an Omega 18mm deployant, with the Golden Brown omega strap. Great looking watch, great chronograph function, but just not something for the water. I love the look of it and it has excellent legibility.

If you have to choose one her the Speedmaster. It is a true classic and will always and in every situation look good. The Seamaster is the better watch but it‘s a child of it’s time. There will be a nicer version in 5 years.

That being said… I miss the Seamaster so much!

Speedy for me - I just don’t like the modern Seamaster skeleton hands. However the 2254 is a different story...
