I still use eBay for a few bits but only list when they have final value fee offers on. So if I sell an item for £1000 I’d receive about £970.

To date I’ve never had a problem.

It looks like you sold it for $900US which equivalent to $590AUD

Currencies are backwards here but the point is correct: if they bought for $900AUD, it's $590US

That’s exactly how I sell on there. And it’s always been fine. Authentication service helps the buyers which in turn supports the seller.

You have to bake the fees / taxes / misc into the sell price. If it is worth it for the extra exposure eBay gives you over any other platform then it is the way to go.

I think there are many better alternatives to eBay today, and not just for buying/selling watches.
