This test is utter bullshit. I'm English born and bred and got 18, and quite a few of those were educated guesses! My "English" schooling included specialist study in the Israel / Palestine conflict and World War II. WTF do I know about who built the tower of london... I've never been! Who authors this stuff?!

I only got 12 on one of the other one's, d'oh.
Why weren't there any questions about the World Cup Final in '66 or historical figures like George Formby ?
The nearest I've ever been to London is Wembley and I've no intention of ever going nearer

True. When the powers that be brought in such a "civic values" test for Australian citizenship, there was a bit of controversy when one of the questions was about Sir Donald Bradman and another was about Walter Lindrum. Unless you follow cricket or billiards respectively and you're of a particular age group, you would be unlikely to know the answer. It wasn't surprising that the test included a question about Don Bradman as the Australian prime minister at the time, John Howard, was a cricket tragic. Does it make someone a "bad Australian" if they didn't know the answer? Of course not. These tests are incredibly subjective and are often biased towards a particular cultural group.

Yes. Me too - I also failed recently after a friend had to do the same test.

What a silly test.
