My thought is that since super glue is a very thin liquid, the wick effect tends to draw it places it shouldn't be.

Here are the parts of the typical Omega HEV:



The screw at the far left is what the OP is referring to, and it screws into the threaded hole of the cap (crown) on the far right. Applying a little superglue to the threaded hole in the cap shouldn't cause any great issue inside the watch. Of course someone could use a whole tube...but that's not related so much to the glue used, as the operator...😉
