I have a slightly different problem this morning:

Flood warning

Flooding is expected. Immediate action required
River Loddon at Lower Earley and Sindlesham

The river and flooding forecast is as follows: The River Loddon at Sindlesham and Lower Early remains very high, but has now stabilised. It does however remain sensitive to further rainfall. The latest weather forecast is for showers overnight. Some of these showers may be heavy at times. Further showers are expected on Monday.

Weird. This is the same video....

Color me suspicious, especially before the third attempt when some of the 'boiling water' comes out a different hole in the kettle and spills on or very near her hand and she didn't even flinch. How cold does it have to be for that to actually happen?

I guess you have never experienced really cold weather then. 😉

Yes, that's real. When it's cold enough the hot water will all freeze before it hits the ground. If you try it with cold water, it won't work as well. The hot water breaks up into smaller droplets, allowing it to freeze very quickly....

We have had quite a lot of weather cold enough to do this over the last few weeks....but today it's going to hit +1 C, and tomorrow +7 I think, so lots of snow will be melting here!

Cheers, Al

Interesting to see all of you discussing weather. Certainly, North America has recently had its share of cold (Polar Vortex anyone), and in some places, it was colder than either of the poles!! Winnipeg hit -50 last week with the windchill, and at that temp and the bone dry air, water truly does evaporate in the air like that video. Reminds one of some of the Robert Service poems and stories....
More proof that if you can live in the GWN, you can live anywhere!!

Went to the shops this afternoon, it was 44.5C in the parking lot. Several shops closed due to the temps, that's 112F for Americans out there.

Thats every summer day in AZ, One year we hit 122 it was a killer.
