    At a time when many big house watchmakers are very secretive of their methods, not allowing anyone to photograph their workshops even, Roger Smith is very open about how he does it. I’m sure many of you have seen these videos already, but I just discovered them, and I find them fascinating:

    This has totally changed my view of what my “grail” watch would be. If I had the money to be spending tens if not hundreds of thousands on a watch (which I don’t!), it would definitely not be on something like a mass-produced Rolex, but on something like this which is truly handmade and artisanal.

    As an RGM owner, it is fun to discuss a watch with the guy who is going to make it for you. The lead time from deposit to delivery eases the financial pain a bit.
