I was gathering information about service cost for various watch brands. When I reach out to Cartier or Hublot, they were not as helpful. Hope this list of various manufacture pricing will shine some light on service costs when it comes to actual manufactures. If you know, the official prices on other watch brands, let me know and I can update the blog post. Thank you

I will say for vintage watches the price can vary; for example I had my 1942 Jaeger Lecoultre triple calender serviced at Jaeger, and they said they have only one person who could work on the watch, and it was around 3k; they give estimates on an individual basis

$3k for a service on a vintage JLC is insane, look for an independent.

Zaf Basha is the vintage JLC guru. Www.classicwatch.com

He too isn’t super cheap but it’ll be less than 3k and he has a ton of spare parts for vintage JLCs

I think you spelled “piguet” with a q instead of a g. Otherwise nifty little project

Yes, which makes perfect sense considering that parts are replaced on the case at service, and are understandably more expensive.

Ahh, that makes sense. I don’t have any pieces beyond gold filled, and couldn’t get my head around what the difference might be. Many thanks
