How many watches do you own?

I currently own 4. I personally only plan to own 6 watches. I currently have a '64 Seamaster 136.005. for my vintage dress watch, Seiko Pressage SARY181 for modern dress, Garmin Fenix 3 for every other day, Casio DW-5600SB3 for every day.

My next purchase (next year) will be a vintage Elgin, Bulova or Hamilton A-11 field watch and then I can try and save up for a decent chronograph. Then that'll be it for me, unless I fall in to a big pile of money which is highly unlikely. I like watches but I'm rather poor and have to budget and save before I can justify a purchase.

I'm not a fan of divers in general but if I could afford it, I'd have me one of the new "Seaweed" Masters Pros. I love the green so much.

Sent you a PM re: an Elgin looking for a home.

I used to own two: my first watch, a Seiko 5 SNLK23, and my second watch, a vintage Speedy 145.022. I gave my Seiko 5 away to a girl (who still has it). But I still have my Speedy.

70~ 561-751 cal. C-Case's and around 10 others

It gets pretty overwhelming at times, lately my internal sanity check isn't clearing me any more, especially after collecting became so much harder because of local laws. After a while value/piece drops, other collectors kept on saying watches aren't good investments, I know see the light as well, it's an obsession 😀

I have 4 Automatic watches and 2 G-Shocks.
I have this constantly reoccurring impulse to buy more, but my brain tells me that to do so is not the best financial move for me at the moment.
I may continue to accumulate more watches in the future. 6 excluding my G-Shocks seems to be a good number.

Too many.

Most are movements or parts of movements, which makes counting impractical.

I was looking for a multimeter and found a movement on the floor under a bookshelf.

I think I got parts for 6 more this last week with one more on the way that Fed ex seems to have lost (now a weather delay.)

And to think I went cold turkey for 18 years.

I also have closets and cabinets full of cloth for future projects involving dolls puppets and event costumes. Not to mention a workshop/shed full of pipe organ parts.

It is always the thing one does not have what seem to stimulate the desire most. That nagging feeling, If I do not get it now, I will regret it later.

The days simply are not long enough.

More than one, and less than 187.

Edit: More than one, and less than 213.

Seamaster 2254.50, Citizen Hyper Aqualand (or something like that), Vostok Komandersky, Omega Geneve 565, Casio, Lorus.

Citizen BM 8180-03E

Lorus Lumibrite Sport RXF41AX7.

2 Omegas, 2 Citizens, 2 Lorus, 1 Casio, 1 Vostok. So that makes 8, but only the Seamaster get any wrist time.

Edit: Just saw that this is the Vintage section, Sorry for posting all this plastic. Here an extra pic of the one vintage I got: Omega Geneve 1966.

I think I will start implementing this philosophy once I get to 6 watches. I don't know how disciplined I would be to maintain that number, however.
