Is that the correct crown?

Case looks sharp to me. Dial appears original, but I'm certainly no expert. Are the hour markets at 12, 3 and 9 supposed to be a little shorter and set further in on the dial?

Price (now @ $900) appears to be fair based on a 14k case as I've seen similar SS models going for nearly that much - but what would a ceiling price for this be for YOU (I understand the market will determine the price)?

Thanks for you help, OF!

I think you have spotted the issue. In my view the shorter markers do not belong to this set and are a later addition. Also, I think the dial has been touched up and repainted in places. As such I would pass on it, since there is no good price for this type of restoration in my view.

I have been researching the 2627 quite extensively in recent weeks, so I am familiar with this listing. The dial is correct and in good condition. The hour markers at the quarter positions are correct. The hands have lost their lume, and the second hand is wrong and too short (should not be black, but gilt). The crown has been replaced (but with the correct type). Everything else looks OK, with average wear and condition for a gold example. As for the price, I doubt that it will stay at $900 - I would expect all the action in the last 10 seconds as usual, and for it to end up north of $1,500 USD.

I agree with John, the dial is correct.

I stand corrected, both John and XJR are the experts. 📖

How about this one? Dial looks original to me - and case and crown appear to be in pretty decent condition too. Is the discoloring of the hands an issue or is that just a form of patina? The movement appears to be in pretty good condition but this is where my lack of knowledge really shines!

Looks ok, case is a little polished but the rest of the watch looks good.

Yes, quite a tidy 2577. Seems a well worn case has been given a lightish polish, so not the sharpest. Hands are not a problem as they show the same age as the dial. Note the degraded radium at 1200. These models are not exactly plentiful.

The 2577 case style has always really appealed to me for some reason, especially the lugs
