Me: Hey honey, I went to the markets today, I got these watches...plus the one I'm wearing on my wrist!
(gets out bag with 1 men's watch and 5 ladies watches; cheap, and with ambition to...)
Her: (excited look) Oh cool! (Yes, luckily for me she's interested in them) Is one of those for me?
Me: Nope, I'm going to list them on eBay!
Her: ...you'd better buy me an Omega.

路I tell her that I quit smoking 38 years ago this month, and I have spent far less collecting watches in the 38 years than I would have spent on tobacco. How do I leave her tobacco smoke and pipe ashes in my will? Actually, I have never had to alibi when I buy a watch. She has her own excesses馃榾.

But if a true bargain pops up from my local jeweler, I tell her, "I'd be losing money if I don't buy it. I'll sell it if I need to". Then I have another watch in my collection馃榾
