Hi thanks for accepting me into your forum, I have recently received a gift of an omega seamaster circa 1965 from my wife.
having done research it just looks to clean, any thoughts appreciated.

All looks fine, your wife’s done ok!
The crown is a later service replacement but that’s not unusual for a watch this age.
Enjoy!

To add: after an another look the seconds hand looks a tad short - it should reach the minute ticks. It may well do and it’s just the picture playing tricks. Again no big deal unless it bothers you.

It’s in good Nick, looks pretty authentic to me.

Stick around you will see watches the same age even cleaner. 😉

She gave you a nice present there, especially with the gold-furniture-on-steel look. You won't let her see this thread, now will you?

thank you that's reassuring, just didn't want her to be ripped off. I love the watch and will just enjoy it.
