Border Collie, right. Had one that 1/2 when I was a kid. Smartest dog in the world according to my dad.

@duc

I was going to guess Aussie.

Oh he can chase too!

In this case a tennis ball and he caught it on the bounce. He didn't get close to his top speed in this video...he's very fast...

Raven was also very fast in the early years, but later in life she wasn't up to chasing balls and frisbees anymore, so when we went to the park she would mostly wander around and eat the flowers off the dandelions. 😀

You're wife has a better throwing arm than I do. I'm jealous.

Yes not bad - developed while growing up in Australia playing cricket in the back yard I guess. Now when it comes to throwing the frisbee, she's completely lost with that, so if you can throw one in a straight line more than 10 feet, you definitely have her beat. 😀

Close cousin.

Aussy Shepherd. Molly is a mini. Sasha is a full sized version, just a small one. Dundee was a 6 5 pounder. All heart and energy. Deeply missed by all.

Edit:
Odd; I thought I hit send on this last night. I just logged in and see I must have walked away before actually sending it. Well, some of the team got to the answer ahead of me.

Yes, thank God for that!

Made a new friend today, this little one decided to jump up on a table next to me and just sat enjoying cuddles 🥰 strangely I seem to have quite an affinity with cats.
Wonder how the boys would get on with a cat in the house ?

All the beds, all the comfy spots on the sofa and this is always the preferred spot.

Does yours have a spot of spots?

I just tried to get a pic of a cat I try to feed, it’s a feral. He will hiss at me to go back inside before he takes the food. I’ve seen him with squirrel and rabbit kills. I worry about my 30lb Boston terriers when it comes around. Pound for pound, this cat has to be one of the biggest alphas in the animal kingdom. I know they are a nuisance, but I like him.

I once had feral cats under my house when I lived in Hawaii. I wasn't so much concerned about another animal. I was initially concerned about my two year old who had a habit of feeding them every time he went out on the porch. I planned a way to entice the leader in with food (feeding him by hand). Initially I had murderous intent. By the time he got close enough to take food from my hand, I had changed my mind and decided I wanted him around. He was a cool cat while he lived near us.

He will probably come around eventually. BTW, if he really is the neighborhood alpha, it would be really worthwhile to get him neutered. This was the strategy that animal control had adopted when I lived in New Orleans. The feral cat population was so enormous that capturing them and putting them into shelters (or euthanizing them) was pointless, since others just took over their territories immediately. The city commissioned a study, and it was determined that "neuter and release" could potentially be more effective at reducing the population.
