I had to change out a faucet today and just threw a short bucket by the front door an hour before I had to go so I didn’t forget it. For an hour the brothers took it over and even had a fight over the rights to sit in it. Maharishi Yogi proudly held his ground.
He was sleeping upon my return probably dreaming of the days victory.

Not one of ours (both doing ok) but saw this little Tuxedo perched above a canal on a walk last week. Clearly likes living on the edge.

very well could be. If so probably on the younger side as I’m noticing the adults have a (generally) bigger chest and are more muscular than house cats. I’m no expert just see them often in my area and I was surprised they were usually paired up. I talked to someone at the department of environmental protection who was in the area for another matter he told me it’s common to see them in pairs and they claim several miles as their territory (he gave a number which I don’t recall but I’m sure google knows) do you happen to have wild rabbits in your area? We have loads of them I wonder if that’s what they are after. Could just be mouse or whatever I wish I could ask them.

I love those encounters with beasts of the field and birds of the air. Cats get a bad rap as they are looked at as an invasive species but it’s not their fault humans brought them everywhere, it is said the Vikings would always travel with cats, they were looked at as good luck by Vikings. We as humans are probably the most invasive species. I can’t think of many areas we haven’t screwed up.

I think people forget how bad vermin plagues could get in the olden day, leading to sickness and famine. Then we got wedded to pesticides and poisons which bring their own issues long term for the environment. There were a lot of reasons why the Egyptians worshiped cats and sailors like a cat on board.

Lovely pics.
Had some good holidays there with my mum and dad some 50 years ago.
I remember it being the Midge capital of the UK too.
