Alpha your home is beautiful I imagine the upkeep is quite expensive how many servants do you have? It reminds me a bit of George Harrison’s place
And in the only place in Scotland that's always sunny 😀

We were away a night at the weekend and then I was caught fraternising with young girl yesterday… But the sun is shining this week (mostly) so Old Boy has said all is forgiven - provided I work as his sun caddy and keep his office chair well positioned……
He is a very decicated office worker / does not leave his seat all day :0)

Ok ... I was busted with further Young Girl fraternising today... but I am trying to keep it to a minimum.... and that is not an all weather cat Igloo behind her (honest). We are having dinner with her new parents this week ...and will be taking them some good wine and whisky.... she seems more focused on moving back in here since we re-homed her
( they are damn belligerent creatures ;0)

I feed sooper and hairy in separate rooms. Only because sooper is so old and hairy is grumpy I figure let them eat in peace separately. I also have to give sooper a different food on occasion to keep her weight up but this AM they had the same thing. I was up at 4:45a as I got a call I was with someone who was Covid positive on Sunday and they had they great idea to call me at 4:35a to let me know.

So anyway I fed the cats in their appropriate places and went about giving myself covid tests. I looked over and noticed the cats had switched places. Same food but each one must have thought the other had something better. I guess cats get that “grass is greener thing” it was real early so for a second I thought hairy had changed colors when I wasn’t looking but she is still a white fluff ball.

Well that was tiring 😀

My old pal is still hanging on, what a star he is 👍 Sadly bladder control is virtually non existent but that could happen to any of us and I have to admit our kitchen vinyl floor has never been so clean what with all the sanitising etc. 😀
As long as he enjoys life which he obviously is i am happy to mop up his pee all day long.

Great pic, no hairy of course but nice picture
Thanks. Murphy is protective of his collection. His sister Maggie tries to steal them- she’s not the sharpest tack in the box.

@Omegafanman how did you get her to stand on her hind legs? My old buddy Baxter used to do that frequently but hairy has “deformed” back legs (sounds bad but she was just born with it and she gets around fine but she can’t stand on her hind legs) so that is a cool shot as it real common for cats

She doesn’t look that bright but I’m guessing very friendly with those eyes, plus that’s a great stuffed strawberry who would want to give that up.
Talk about not bright my Shepard loved to get new rubber toys to play with she would carry them around proudly for an hour or so and then bury them never to be seen again. 12 years of that she probably buried a couple hundred dollars worth of NOS dog toys. I never understood that.

I see people post these on Reddit and YouTube. Some of the cats even do a dramatic “I’ve been shot” before going down. I’ve been trying to get hairy to do it but she just looks at my finger. I am going to keep trying

I trained Aramis a few things when we adopted him. It worked. I also trained a few kittens when I was a young girl myself. I think the key is to train them at an early age (I mean the cat ha!ha), a great deal of patience and..... the pockets full of treats....! Otherwise.... hum! Aramis was about 8 months old. The kittens 3 months old. Aramis knows much vocabulary. Its amazing. Of course he knows how to help himself in the fridge. I can assure you that it is a trick he learned absolutely on his own.... But he is the cutest ever...

I have seen trained cats do some pretty amazing things. I had one trained to sit and stand upright for a minute but it definitely takes more time and effort. Cats don’t have the innate ability to please humans. My German Shepard was quite easy to teach a handful of tricks to. You are correct though you really need to start young I did teach one of my cats to chase the dog on verbal command that was the best one I got other than that my success rate with cats is definitely minor league.
