Yes he is certainly a dachshund puppy and after a lifetime of owning larger breeds I must admit I do love the wee boy, highly intelligent and very loving, what more could you ask for 馃グ

Mom had two of them, both named Frenchy (her father brought home a puppy from France, hence the name.)

I only knew Frenchy number 2. Everything you said was true of Frenchy, with one addition. That dog was tough as nails. He had no fear of bigger dogs. He'd growl and leap in the air to attack a dog he thought mom needed to be protected from.

Your daughters are in safe hands/paws.

Alpha your home is beautiful I imagine the upkeep is quite expensive how many servants do you have? It reminds me a bit of George Harrison鈥檚 place

We have a euphemism for when one of our dogs moves something from place to place without destroying it ... we call it "redecorating". 馃檮

Since we have a dog door, interior items are occasionally redecorated into outdoor items. Today, Max redecorated the last two clementines in a bag. I didn't notice for several hours, but when I saw the missing bag, I immediately went out into the yard and found them intact. Max followed me out and showed some interest in playing with them.

Our former dog Piper was the consummate indoor-outdoor redecorator, it was amazing what she could squeeze through that door and always interesting to find unexpected things in the yard. She could live with the same decor for years, and then one day decide to move all the throw pillows outside, making multiple trips. I think that our family isn't unique in this respect, on one of our frequent neighborhood walking routes we pass a house with a redecorating dog ... the front yard often has lots of shoes lying around.

Please excuse the backyard mess, a big section of our fence blew down in a recent windstorm.
