Old boy is having a nice Christmas. He got his usual present which was cooked not wrapped... but judging by his wide eyes it was a hit...and he waited very patiently while it was cooked :0).

A nice Xmas tail ..tale ..... so below is young girl happy and warm under a Christmas tree... but not our tree. Old boy just could not get used to another cat in the house. It was not possible for her to live with her original owners, so we were a stop gap when the weather turned. I could see Old boy was not happy and was eating less. So I created a kind of cat tinder page and bombarded a local family with photos and videos showing what a lovely cat she is..... and they have now taken her in for a perfect Christmas with kids, toys, fun and treats . Everything a young cat needs. I am sure they will be her forever home, which as a rescue cat she deserves. I relocated her a few days before Xmas and she is settling in very well / good timing with everyone home for the holiday. She is being kept in for now, but they are not too far away so I suspect she will still pay us a visit from time to time once she gets her right to roam back. She had a nice last meal before I put her in the cat box. She has a great temperament/ she does trust us so there was no hissing or stress thankfully ....and Old boy is like....best Xmas ever ;0).

Happy ending for everyone . Not that easy to make a new addition adopted by an older one. We made a success of it but... the youngest is a terror, sometimes, with nice Aramis. I will tell some day the story of "Petunia" the ginger kitten lost in the wild...( well almost lost in the wild...)

Look forward to that story as I am a sucker for Ginger cats. For now old boy is in cat Xmas heaven and claiming all chairs at will / happy to be the one and only again. He just settling in for his afternoon film offerings ;0)

That’s too bad @Omegafanman i was hoping this would work out but I think you handled it correctly. My brother got a dog. One cat warmed up to it the other took to living on top of the kitchen cabinets. Poor fella died a while later all it’s organs shut down. Stress is a real killer for cats I never realized how much changes to their environment can effect them health wise. You gave it the old college try and found that pretty cat a solid place so things are as they should be and the universe will continue as if all is in perfect order.

I was watching a squirrel out back at work ripping this cardboard box into pieces and bring mouthfuls of it 30 feet up a tree. This has been going on for an hour. He scared himself when he picked up the whole box and it hit his tail so he ran back up to the nest empty mouthed during one run. Damn they work hard for shelter. And I was complaining about painting and putting in faucets
