Ok I see @Alpha has these beautiful B-Day party’s for his doggy buddy. Superdooper 112th Birthday (human years) included an IV, a B-12 infection, steroids and liquid antibiotics. Gotta say that after that she is definitely acting younger, not a day over 99 and actually followed me up the the third floor of the house to check it out. She usually skips the stairs but if you have an elderly cat I really cant recommend IV for hydration and B-12 injections enough. There is even a port I the IV where you can introduce the B-12 but I’ve been giving her this stuff so long she doesn’t mind the needles when you find the right places which take a while.
The old boy has been on the B12 for some time now and a fantastic difference it has made, capsules are really simple, just a case of pulling one capsule apart and sprinkling the powder on his food.
The circle of life (on a Sunday morning):
The dog staring at me, the cat staring at the dog, me staring at the cat.
(We are fortunate for sure, healthy, and free to do nothing. Hope this finds you all well.)
Well yesterday started slowly for our remaining old lady
then my oldest daughter(who volunteers at a rescue society) suggested that she might be lonely and would we mind fostering some kittens. Someone filled out some forms and I came home from work today to see
and this
so we will see how it goes. A bit of hissing through the door but everyone(?) says that a couple of days is all that is necessary to see if they will fit in with the incumbent. Mrs. P and the visiting daughter are happy though so that's a start, but they will remain on probation until sure that all will be well

I don’t know who told you a couple days but it’s usually quite linger. So introduction over weeks seems to work well. I’m the official guy in the family “who ends up with the sick or unwanted cats” as I cant say no. With kittens I have seen days. Temperament can play a part it would be great if it’s just a couple days. Hairy the-cat had her own room for two months as she would’ fight the other two when I get her out.good luck
