Thanks, I really don’t know, nor does my vet, what is keeping superdooper going. She was diagnosed with some type of cancer at 17, went deaf at 18, I’m pretty sure she is 90% blind but she can out figures she just doesn’t know who is who. She has this damn cold thing, probably feline herpes, I keep treating her with anti biotics but it keeps coming back. I hook her up to an IV 4-6 times a week, she looks like a reck tbh I brush her and stuff but she just ain’t feeling any self grooming these days. I had to put her “brother” down at 14 years old he was a big healthy cat that got a tumor and went from a very happy health overweight cat to no longer being with us in about 3.5 weeks. I am baffled by sooper dooper I’m not complaining of course but technically, and this is the vets words no mine, “this cat should not be alive, I gave her six months to live 7 years ago.”
This was our big guy......brother to the little lady I posted above. At his best he was a solid (not over padded!) 18 pounds.
He hunted (and brought us) all sorts of things in the green space behind our house, including most recently an adult magpie. Sorry no pics of that one. He started to be a bit lethargic do some coughing in March and was diagnosed with a lung cancer on April 1. We started him on some steroids and he perked up and was doing well until he started dropping weight at the end of the month and within a week it was clear that we needed to put him down. This was one of our hardest days ever....holding him and feeling his life slip away. Things are still not great and everyone left behind is still out of sorts at two months without him.
Sorry to be so maudlin, but still pretty raw and missing him. The posts in this thread though are very helpful, especially those from @Omegafanman

Neo is really enjoying his time in the Alps, and handling the daily hikes quite well, so far 😀
We had a couple of days of on and off rain, but we managed to go out walking every day. And when needed, Neo was very patient to stay in the tent, relaxing. He is being really a nice company... My better half too btw!
My wife and I adopted our Winnifred. She was on death row and set to be euthanized the following day. She was a police rescue from an abusive owner that never fed her and kept her in a cage way too small for her size. These photos are from day one. She looks ripped in the second pic… she was severely underweight from neglect.
She is so incredibly loving and patient. Loves playing with all animals, sharing her toys, letting them climb all over her, and cuddling with them. Pics from visiting the in-laws
She just doesn’t realize how big she is. She claimed this bed, which belonged to a 10 pound dog. She’s a healthy 80lbs
She just doesn’t have any patience for helping me test film cameras, but that’s okay 😀
by the size of that bone, there must be a serious dinosaur infestation

We planted a tree (dogwood ironically) in remembrance of our 21 old cat.
