Since mentioned that, our dog Nova will not go past a certain point on walks. A couple years ago a big puppy Husky came lopping down the sidewalk and scared the crap out of Nova. The Husky just wanted to play, but that point on the sidewalk is no go for Nova now.

Eddie’s recuperating after a sneak attack from a Staffie that snuck up on him and clamped onto his neck. Good job I was the one walking him as if Sarah and the kids were walking him they wouldn’t have had a chance of getting the horrible thing off him. Now in his rightful place in front of the fire.

Oh No!! Hope he is getting better, and the wound heals correctly, and fastly.

Give the signal, and the OF dog pack will pay a visit to the Staffie!! He'd better start running...

Best wishes, mate!

Thanks for all the well wishes.

Eddie's doing okay. Luckily the bite didn't puncture any of the muscle underneath and is more of a flesh wound, albeit a nasty one that I thought the vet would have stitched up but he seemed quite happy to give him a course of anti-biotics and anti-inflamatories for 10 days and to leave the bite to heal naturally.

I've never seen the offending dog / owner before or since. The attack happened last Thursday at about 5:15am in the morning. Me and Eddie were doing our usual walk along a snicket (path) and where it joined another snicket the Staffie was walking up that one so it caught all 4 of us by surprise. With the dog deciding to take a chunk out of Eddie's neck. It was on the lead and the owner was apologetic but surely needs to be muzzled. As it was pitch black I didn't know how bad it was until we got home.

Eddie's been walking since and met plenty of dogs and hasn't shown any aggressive tendencies so all's good in that respect.

A Staffie in the UK is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, similar in appearance to a Pit Bull but smaller in build. Like Pit Bulls they seem to attract a specific type of owner.
Sounds like hairy needs to teach that aggressive dog a lesson, she can do it from a treetop if need be

Here is new one for the group of pups we have. Timmy the pug has a ulcerated eye. Took the poor little guy to the vet. Got an couple of antibiotics. One is an antibiotic in blood serum. Timmy has some blood drawn, separated the serum added the antibiotic. Gets it every 8 hours as an eye drop. Something I had not heard of before. Pre ulcerated eye pic.

I suspect that most of the Boxer owners are quite familiar with this, often called Boxer ulcers. Every one of my Boxers has had this at least once. Zelda has had it three times. It usually takes a long time to fully resolve, many months. But she never needed any treatment. Just a lot of time. Fortunately, it never seems to bother her.

Ouch, sorry to see things like this, hope Eddie makes a speedy recovery.

Spring sprung yesterday in the UK - like Summer. The old boy was persuaded out to think about garden duties and check the condition of his 'sleeping' pot. He has given up some territory which might be a challenge. Tubby lives close by and is a friendly soul - but two is a crowd for our cat. The Evil one (last picture) is the nemesis of all local creatures (including dogs and humans) - A bit of a bear cat.

Bonnies fortnight in review. Tet (Lunar New Year) always puts a spanner in the works and mum and dad were away for four days🙁

Home alone with the kids for four days, might need to guard this. You never know🤔

I am sure it's edible.

Just making sure that they remember me.

Yes, nice flowers but what about the food?

They get a new TV and it snows😲

Tough job being a guard cat.

Who, me!

Haha, haven't picked him up or handled him yet. Videos and photos only so far. I know if I see him in the flesh it will be a done deal😁
Might go and see him Wednesday unless I have a sudden rush of sanity which is highly unlikely😀

Yes, and I keep looking. How often do you see a Golden retriever puppy with a sad face?🙁

Just can't get this little fellah out of my mind. Definitely going to see today or tomorrow😀
