This is not a cat, nor what I had in mind when considering working from home, welcome to the new world of normal.

"Boundaries?! We have no boundaries..."

Edit: can't imagine what it's like with two of these guys. He (Geoffrey) gets jealous if the cat sits in our lap.

Zelda has also become incredibly attached over the past year. She was always a devoted dog, but now she apparently stands at the door and cries incessantly if I leave the house without her.
This is actually going to be a problem. Frank has pretty bad separation anxiety, and the last year or so has definitely not helped.
Prior to lockdown Mrs Wiv and I would walk round the block once or twice to remind them what being left alone is like, we're going to have to get back on this once we're allowed otherwise working in an office is going to get expensive in furniture repairs.

Get on the doggy day care list now. They are going to become very popular!

Seriously, feel your pain

His brother is pretty chilled out about being left so offers some reassurance. We're going to start building time out of the house back up again, however it's tricky as Mrs Wiv will be home based for the foreseeable as her entire industry has tanked.
Having said that, the sheer volume of biscuits and walks they are getting more than compensates for the bother....

First very light snow..

From the first pic, I thought maybe he was using his tracks to write his name in the snow......then I remembered dogs can't write in cursive. LOL

I don’t like spiders / have a bit of a phobia (but know they a good job… mostly!)
But it is cold with zero flying bugs around, so I have taken pity on this little fella. I have let him move into my old Chateau (which has seen better days). I am feeding him / her (cat food and salmon) which seems to go down well. Using tweezers to give the web an occasional clean out once a week. I have named them DQ (for damned quick). Any arachnologists able to ID it? …. Maybe the UK lockdown is finally getting to me….

The spider gets salmon and wine? No idea what kind of spider it is but it’s a damn lucky one 😀

That looks like it … Thanks.... I have broken out some white for it, but I think that is corked as well. I suspect it is from the Robert Shaw (Russia with Love) wine paring and emotional bonding school anyway :0) I Have tried to drink it under the table, but I get legless way before it does!
