Krazy Kat update....just back from the vet....diagnosis was a major blood clot cutting off blood flow to his hind quarters resulting in paralysis....the decision was made to put the little guy down....at least he didn’t die alone outside in freezing weather...he allowed himself to be petted and stroked, and did his best to meow, no hissing or spitting. We’ll miss the little guy.

So sad.

Very sad to hear this.

Olive. Angel of death to any mouse unwise enough to cross her path.

That is shitty right there but you gave the little fella a cats favorite thing towards the end, a full belly and a warm place. You certainly did your part and you very likely removed a lot of suffering if KK was out in the cold in that condition. Perhaps his behavior was partly based on knowing something wasn’t right. Anyway good on you, it’s sad but at the same time positive.

Really sad news indeed, you should be proud of the help you gave to an animal that needed a bit of kindness.

Poor old Krazy Kat. As it was said, the little fella didn’t have to spend his last days outside in the cold. Thanks for caring for Krazy K

What an incredibly kindhearted thing to do for this helpless creature. 👍

He looks pretty young. It’s odd the difference in life spans in feral vs. domestic cats. In general 2-3 years is a long life for a feral cat. If they live in a colony it’s possible they might hit 10 years old. My cat is 19. She is sick but the vet keeps her going. That would be 92 in “human” years but she jumps better than any 92 year old human I know

Anyone on here got a pet tortoise? My wife told me I’m basically a human tortoise.

So of course I wanted a pet tortoise, and my parents even offered to pay for one, but then I read this book all about tortoise-care and the underlying message within its pages was “don’t get a tortoise.” So I didn’t. Which was a shame, as I was going to call it “Shelby.” Or “Andronicus.” Anyway, show me your nomad reptile dudes, OF 👍

Everytime I see this fella I look at mine and wonder how they would cope with one.

He’s an absolute terror. Chunky was daft but Eddie takes it to a whole new level.

I had to put my little boy to sleep last week, he stopped eating & drinking completely and was just so weak. I carried him to the vet & he went to sleep in my arms. How incredibly difficult it is to say goodbye...

I found him when he was 2 weeks old, crawling on his belly, snuffling for milk.

a little fireball, biting & refusing to be carried

But he was very quiet & would happily stay where we put him

I bottle fed him for 2 weeks & he bit the teats off 2 bottles, probably why he was abandoned.
He ambushed our ankles, and indiscriminately bit our toes, fingers & the other cats. To wake me, he bit the soft flesh on my palms with his little vampire teeth. He never held back when he bit, so he almost always drew blood.

How i wish he was here to bite me now...

At his prime, he weighed around 9kg

The cat on the right weighs 5kg,

Papa will see you again...

What a great story and pictures. I’m so happy to have learned his story. I’m very sorry for your loss and you have my deepest condolences.
