Hey, sometimes that’s hyperthyroid animals burning through food not getting nutrients. They do have meds for it and B-12 helps them with the nutrients. Sorry not playing vet here but I had the same issue with an older Shepard.

My thanks, according to our vet it is simply old age but I think it is time to look for another opinion.

Ah great to hear pretty dog. I have an 18.5 year old cat. She has cancer and for a while she wouldn’t eat or move. I really thought I was going to have to put her down. I brought her to the vet and after hydration, steroids and B-12 she was back to her old self. I’ll put a picture up sometime but it’s hard to catch her when she is awake and she hates when I disturb her 20 hour naps

Today was Tommy’s birthday. September 29, 1996 - June 30, 2012. We miss him every day, but not so much the ‘can’t hear himself meow’ breakfast call at 05:30...!

Yes, this is both heartbreaking and disturbing. It’s also a valuable reminder to those in cooler climes to rap on the hood of their car before starting it up in the morning. There’s a special place in critter heaven for vets like the one who saved this poor kitty.

Neko, the kitty we got our son in June after his Cinder died of Lymphoma in April. Pic from today after we drove to see Ben at college to celebrate his mom’s birthday.

Thanks for the dog pic. With 4 cats in a row I was getting worried. Not that there is anything wrong with cats, some of my best friends have cats. I know 13 dogs that would love to have a cat.

Come on Larry, get with the program. "Old Pal" and "Wee Man" refer to the senior and junior pack members, respectively. :D
