Thought I’d put this up. About two years ago a gentleman in my town went out to start his pick up on a cold day. He hears a terrible noise, opened the hood and found a cat under the hood that had been mangled by the cars fan. When I first saw this cat a year and a half ago I never thought it would look this good, and as you can see she looks pretty rough. The vet took this cat in and cares for it and did all these surgeries on her own. I was at the vet today and this is what the little fella looks like now...]

I did not need to see that

I understand but it’s actually a very nice thing the vet did and I can tell you I was patting the cat it was purring and jumped on my lap. When I went to put her off my lap she hissed at me. The cat is quite fine and happy. I know it doesn’t look that good but it is quite amazing what this vet did. That is the reason I put it up, not to freak people out.

Animals are incredibly resilient and often live very happy lives under difficult circumstances. I'm always impressed by their spirit when I see things like that.

One of my friends adopted a three legged pit-bull and to look at her she's having the time of her life, happy and sweet as can be. I don't think animals are aware of their disabilities like we humans are.

I agree when I was a kid someone tried breaking into our house via a sliding glass door. In the process they cut the cats tail off slamming one of those sliding doors. We came home and it was quite a bloody mess and the cat had bone sticking out of its tail but after a trip to the vet and a some time healing the cat was fine. It had to relearn certain jumps etc as those tails play a part in balance but it adapted very quickly. Perhaps part of it may be animals aren’t caught up in how it once was, only as it is now, that makes a big difference. There is much to be said for living in the now. I’m not implying animals don’t have memories I’m merely saying they don’t live in the past as we sometimes do.

Eddies first ever walk, got off to a bad start but think he enjoyed it in the end

I remember puppy walks where they just go, go, go ... until they're done and then they just drop.

Bulldogs do it differently, they decide they are not going to go then finally decide to saunter about 10 foot before laying down again

Got some big feet on the bully

Going to be another big one

Tree man taking tree dog for a walk. [Sorry if too off-topic; couldn't think of anywhere else to post it!]

Short holiday in glorious weather and many walks with my wee pal,

Old boy is quite happy to just sniff around whilst the young pretender attempts to emulate a certain well known member 🤦

Starting to get a bit concerned about my old pal, behaving like a young dog, barking a thing he never did, jumping up at the table again something he never did and running like a youngster etc. etc.

Several other worries but perhaps the worst is he often forgets he has just been fed and comes looking for his meal half an hour later, have heard of dementia in dogs but at this point in time I am just happy to see him enjoying himself.

Sorry to hear you pal is causing worries, have you popped him down the vets for a check or a scan?
